Due to the nature of this fire, it is difficult to locate where it has traveled, meaning that smoke and fire could reappear under the right conditions.
The latest report on the Mason Fire burning southwest of Laramie says the blaze is still 70 percent contained, but the estimated amount of acreage burned in the blaze has been changed.

The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service has posted a Fire Watch for Friday afternoon that includes the city of Laramie and much of the surrounding area.
Far western Laramie County is also included in the watch area.
