Native Wyoming author C.J. Box will be launching the national book tour for his latest Joe Pickett novel, Force of Nature, right here in Laramie. Box will read from the book and sign copies at the University of Wyoming's American Heritage Center in the Wyoming Stock Grower's Room on Tuesday, March 20th from 1 to 3 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

During the event, copies of the book will be available for sale through Hasting's.  Force of Nature is the 12th book in the best-selling series about Wyoming game warden Joe Pickett. A synopsis of the book shows that trouble come Pickett's way through his friend, Nate Romanowski, who has a past that won't forget him. The entire Pickett family will be a target and the only way to fight back will be outside the law.

Force of Nature will publish March 20th and the first chance to get a signed copy will be right here in Laramie. From there, Box will take off on a month long book tour with stops in ten states along the way.

Box is the New York Times best-selling author of fifteen novels including the Joe Pickett series. He won the Edgar Alan Poe Award for Best Novel in 2009 with Blue Heaven and was awarded the "BIG WYO" Award from the state tourism industry in 2008. His books have been translated into 25 languages, and both Blue Heaven and Nowhere to Run have been optioned for films.

An avid outdoorsman, Box has hunted, fished, hiked, ridden, and skied throughout Wyoming and the Mountain West. He served on the Board of Directors for the Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo. He lives in Wyoming with his wife and three daughters.
