UPDATE: Cheyenne Police have identified the gunman in a triple-shooting at a Cheyenne apartment complex on Wednesday as 77-year-old Larry Rosenberg. Police say he used a .22 caliber handgun. Police say he was a resident of the Heritage Court Apartments, where the shooting occurred.

UPDATE: Cheyenne Police now say the shooter in a Wednesday morning incident, as well as one of his victims is dead. Police spokesman officer Dan Long at one point said the shooter was in custody, but now reports the man died after turning his weapon on himself as police were approaching.

Police say the shooter was a resident of the apartment complex.

One of the shooter's three victims is also dead. The medical status of the other two victims is unknown at this time. The shooting happened a little after 11 a.m. at the Heritage Court Apartment Complex. Long says two people were shot in the apartment complex parking lot, and one more was shot inside. The shooter fled the scene, and was found at Hot Springs and Chestnut, where he shot himself.

A precautionary lockdown of all Cheyenne public schools was lifted a little after 12:30 p.m.

UPDATE: Police spokesman Officer Dan Long says a suspect is in custody in connection with the shootings. All Cheyenne schools were placed on lockdown status as a precaution.

Cheyenne Police report a shooting took place around 11 a.m. at 3912 Gregg Way in Cheyenne.

Police have not released any names so far, but say the suspect was found at Hot Springs and Chestnut with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. We will report further details as they become available,
