Best Places to Go Swimming in Laramie – Our Only 5!
Well we sure don't want you to go swimming in the Laramie river anytime soon! Summer is finally here and the kids out of school so make plans to take them swimming. The Laramie Rec Center, kid pool at Washington Park, or the splash pad at Undine Park or just turn on the sprinkles in the backyard, all will make a perfect afternoon activity for you and the your kids.
Don't forget: Swim lessons from The Laramie Swim Club are a great way to introduce your kids to swimming.
We do have a few swimming pools in Laramie. The Laramie High School has a great swimming pool as well as 2 at the University of Wyoming, one at Corbett and the other at Half Acre. The Laramie Rec Center has an outdoor swimming play area with large water slides as well as an indoor swimming area with lazy river and water slid and a swimming pool for lap swim and swimming lessons.
1. The Laramie Rec Center - A great place to take the whole family and get wet!
Hours: June 13th. Daily 12pm - 6:30pm
(weather permitting) Closed on the 4th of July.
2. Washington Park Wading Pool - Great for kids!
Area is fenced in and has a water fall and easy intery points.
Hours 12:30 – 4:30 pm daily. Lifeguard on Duty. FREE ADMISSION!
3. Splash Park at Undine Park - The Splash Pad great place to take your young kids during the summer! Area is fenced in and a great place to take a picnic on these "hot" summer days.
Hours: 11:00 am – 6:00 pm daily
5. University Pools - Corbitt and Half Acre Pool offer student and UW Staff a great opportunity to cool off or get in shape.
Hours - May 9 - August 20 Mondays-Fridays 6-8 a.m., 11 a.m.-1 p.m., and 4-7 p.m.
