Speed Limit Lowered Temporarily on I-80 Near Laramie
Be sure to slow down on Interstate 80 near the Grand Avenue Interchange. WYDOT has sent a crew there to improve the lighting for the intersection. The speed limit will be lowered to 65 miles per hour and there will be sporadic single lane closures into October.
Recycling Bins Being Distributed by City of Laramie
Recycling is moving closer to home for Laramie residents. The City of Laramie has begun delivering carts to residences in preparation for the curbside single stream recycling program, which will begin on September 1st. The 96-gallon recycling carts are brown with a blue lid and will all come with an attached brochure, detailing which items can be recycled.

Voting is open for University of Wyoming football fans to choose which uniforms the Pokes will wear for the season opener on Sept. 3 against Weber State. You have six home uniform combinations and three helmets to choose from on the Wyoming Athletics website. Voting will close the week before the game, when a winner will be announced.
Clark Street Bridge Will Close Temporarily for Repairs
The Clark Street Viaduct will be temporarily shut down on Monday, Aug. 8 so the Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) can make repairs to the bridge deck. The viaduct will be closed on both ends at 9:30 a.m. on Monday and is expected to be opened one week later, weather dependent.
WYDOT is advising Laramie motorists, pedestrians and bicyclists to use detours.
Buttermilk Pie is a Country Cooking Indulgence

This particular recipe is based on one of the best selling pies of the 1950′s at Moeller’s Bakery in Houston, Texas, where it is still made on order. It’s basically a take on a traditional southern custard pie in which buttermilk makes the inside much richer. This pie is insanely good for how simple it is.
Reduced Price Licenses On Sale Today from Wyoming Game & Fish
Hunters who would like to pick up reduced price licenses for elk, deer and antelope can now purchase them. Available reduced price licenses to both residents and nonresidents include 8,966 cow/calf elk, 13,534 doe/fawn deer and 19,232 doe/fawn antelope.
New Bus Route May Be Running in Laramie This August
The Albany County Transit Authority (ACTA) is one step closer to becoming a reality. The Albany County Board of Commissioners unanimously approved a resolution for the ACTA in a special meeting on Tuesday.
