Curt Gowdy, a former owner of KOWB-AM, was born on this day in 1919. Gowdy is best known as the longtime “voice” of the Boston Red Sox, but he was born in Green River, Wyoming and played basketball and tennis at the University of Wyoming.

BBQ Cook-off Bringing Award Winning Grillers to Laramie

Grillers will be competing for a share of $7,000 in prize money at the IMH Foundation Griller’s Cup this Saturday. Judges from the Kansas City Barbecue Society will determine who the Wyoming State Champions are with categories in ribs, chicken, pork and brisket.

PRCA Rodeo Wraps Up Laramie Jubilee Days [PICTURES]

A 91-point bull ride was the reward for those in attendance at the final PRCA Rodeo Performance for Laramie Jubilee Days on Sunday afternoon at the Albany County Fairgrounds. The ride on Full Throttle made Ardie Maier $3,847.50 richer and gave a fitting close to the 2012 edition of Laramie Jubilee Days.

Mr. T Bull Riding Thrills Crowd During Laramie Jubilee Days [PHOTOS]

The bulls may have gotten the best of most of the cowboys, but the crowd was the ultimate winner at the Mr. T Classic Xtreme Bull Riding on Wednesday night at the Albany County Fairgrounds. The bulls from Burns Rodeo Company bucked all but two professional bull riders and put on a heck of a show in the process.
