Ask The City – Why Wasn’t McCullum St. Fixed Before Grand Ave. Construction?

Why didn't the City or WYDOT take the time to paint lines and fix McCullum Street knowing that it was going to have more traffic due to the construction at 30th and Grand?

The City's Response:

There does not appear to be a need to paint lines as vehicles should not be passing each other.  The travel lanes are well defined by  tire wear on the pavement visually assisting drivers with lane placement.   Patching material was not available at the time the detour shifted traffic onto McCollum.  WYDOT will determine if patching is necessary and complete the work.
