Ask The City – Why hasn’t the City Patched Potholes on 9th Street?

Your Question:

Why is it that the city still has done nothing to repair the road on 9th street next to where the new houses are being built south of russell. That area has become a one lane road because of how bad the street is torn up. one of the potholes is almost 10 inches deep. please get a permanent solution to this problem.

The City's Response:

This is an area where a subdivider has tapped into the water and sewer mains and hasn't patched the street cuts.  The work was done late in the fall and the weather has not permitted permanent patching to be installed.  The Public Works Inspector will contact the subdivider and have them replace the base material that has been beat out of the cuts by traffic.  Permanent patching will be completed when warmer weather arrives.
