Your Question:

A large quantity of the trash at our office could be recycled. However, we have a large city dumpster and did not receive a recyclable container. My son lives in a trailer park that uses a private trash collection company and he did not receive a recyclable trash container either. What can be done to stop this recyclable material from making it to the city dump site? One solution may be large dumpsters, similar to the mulch containers, that could be placed throughout the town. I realize a designated truck would be needed, but could this be a solution?

The City's Response:

One of the City’s many goals for 2012 is to expand recycling service to Multi-Family & Commercial Customers. The City’s Solid Waste Division is currently working to accomplish that goal. However, customers that do not yet have curbside recycling service are still encouraged to recycle using Ark Regional Services. Ark has many drop off bins throughout the community. The bin locations can be found on Ark's webpage www.arkregionalservices.org.
