The Question:

Why did the city detour all the traffic from Vista Drive over to Meadowlark Lane?

“This work is on the water line in Vista Drive and the traffic is being diverted through the adjacent County subdivision. The detour meets the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) standards and is clear and effective. According to Albany County records, Meadowlark is a publicly dedicated right-of-way and available as a detour.

Prior to commencing work, City of Laramie Public Works employees notified the neighborhood letting people know the work was planned. We apologize if some residents were missed in the notification process. The work should be completed by Wednesday, October 9.”
