Ask The City: 3rd Street Visibility

The Question:

Concerning the exit from the K-Mart plaza, between the US Bank and Shari's...the bushes are so close to the sidewalk and street (and are getting so high) that a person has to almost pull out into 3rd St. in order to see if any cars are coming. Why is this allowed?

The Answer:

“City staff has inspected this area and noted the visibility concern. Appropriate notice has been given to the property owner to remedy the problem. Thank you for your interest in our community and taking time to bring this issue to our attention.”
