CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — A Laramie County District Court judge has dismissed all but one of the claims made against the state of Wyoming by a building owner in Cheyenne.

On Monday, Judge Catherine Rogers dismissed most of the claims made in a lawsuit by the owners of the office building that seeks over $1.4 million for alleged unpaid rent and building updates.

The state has rented space in the building during Capitol complex renovations.

The Wyoming Tribune Eagle reports that the lawsuit accused the state of being nearly $931,000 behind in rent payments and making over $300,000 in repairs and alterations to the building without the owner's permission.

But state contends it was withholding the rent until the owners reimbursed it for repairs and updates the state had to make to the building.
