The free tax program hosted by the Albany County Public Library is back for its eleventh tax season.

The Albany County Earned Income Tax Credit Campaign is designed to assist Albany County residents file their taxes with no cost to the filer. The program is open to households with an income of $60,000 or less and will run from February 3 to April 15.

Trained tax preparers will be at the library to help residents file their state or federal taxes. All tax return information is kept private and confidential. Filers will also be able to e-file for a quick refund. Filers will be assisted on a first come, first serve basis.

If you plan on attending, please bring relevant tax documents, including W-2 forms, birth certificates, 1099s, 1098s, and if possible, a copy of your 2014 tax return.

The tax preparers will be available to assist residents on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturdays from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
