Albany County 4-H Members Getting Ready for Wyoming State Fair in Douglas
Albany County 4-H members are preparing for the Wyoming State Fair in Douglas Wyoming, August 13-20. Kids are raising livestock of all kinds like, poultry, rabbits, dogs, goats, pigs, cows, horses and many more farm animals. Other categories include cake decorating, fabric and fashion, knitting and crocheting and much more!
4-H Member Reminder: On August 9th A mandatory State Fair Delegate Meeting (this is for all individuals planning to attend the State Fair) The only members exempt are those entering indoor/static exhibits and will not be attending State Fair themselves. If you will be physically present on the State Fair grounds for any 4-H event you must attend this meeting.
The Wyoming State Fair promises to an exciting time for all who attend and all 4-H members.

Open 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. for ticket sales. Fairgrounds close at 12 midnight.

Monday: FREE
Tuesday-Saturday: 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., 13 yrs. and older $5.00
Season Pass with Commemorative Pin: $15.00 (Admission Only) / $20.00 After August 1st
Children 12 years old and under will be admitted free to the Fairgrounds ONLY when accompanied by a paying spectator.

The Wyoming State Fair is a largely agricultural exposition and rodeo held every August in Douglas, Wyoming. The fairground is located on west Yellowstone Highway on the waterside of North Platte River. The state fair was started in 1886 as the “First Annual Wyoming Territorial Fair near Cheyenne. After events in Laramie, Sheridan and Casper Douglas won the nomination in 1905. There were no fair events in 1935 to 1937 due to the Depression and no in 1942 to 1945 due to the World War II
The state fair is officially sanctioned by the Wyoming Department of Agriculture.
During the fair, up to 455 camping places are available on the south side of the fair ground, parking space is limited.
