The Adam Towler Memorial 5K and 10K races took place on Saturday, July 16. Over 150 people ran or walked in honor of Adam Towler who tragically lost his life in Laramie in 2006. Adam donated much of his time to charity and church activities, and all race proceeds benefited organizations and causes that were special to Adam: St. Laurence O’Toole Elementary School, the Heart-to-Heart Pregnancy Center, the American Heart Association and the Boston Children’s memorial.

This was the fifth year the races were held, and the 10K served as the RRCA Wyoming 10K State Championship.

Adam's Team is a group of young people (K-6th grade), organized by Jennifer Lyford (runner and music teacher at St. Laurence School).  The Team runs in honor of Adam's memory and continues his passion for running and physical fitness.  They meet once a week at Undine Park and run or walk for two miles and then have some healthy treats.  Adam was a graduate of St. Laurence School.  Two of the medalist in the 14 and under class were members of Adam's Team, which is a great tribute to Mrs. Lyford's efforts.
