Albany, Converse, Platte, and Carbon counties are all under a winter storm warning as of Thursday, October 3rd at 8:30 am.

The National Weather Service in Cheyenne has released a hazardous weather video to warn residents of southeastern Wyoming of significant snowfall Thursday night into Friday.

Up to 16 inches of snowfall is possible in Cheyenne and Laramie.  The storm will also produce wind gusts over 50 MPH.  Travel will likely be restricted on I-80 and I-25.  Significant damage to trees and power lines is possible. Vulnerable livestock will also be affected.

According to the latest forecast, snowfall will begin to accumulate overnight Thursday into Friday morning.
