With classes winding down and graduation around the corner, University of Wyoming students are scrambling to find time for one last get together with their friends, one more hike, and trying to find some study time before finals begin. Although four years should be enough time to experience everything Laramie and the University of Wyoming has to offer, there are some things that all students simply must do before graduating and saying goodbye forever.

Throw a Pinecone into the T-Rex

A time-honored tradition by most university students, it's so common that some students might overlook it. Legend has it that students who land a pinecone into the mouth of the T-Rex statue outside of the Geological Museum will either pass or receive an A on all of their finals, depending on who you ask. It may not work, but it's certainly worth a shot. While there, students should take the chance to check out the museum and meet Big Al.

    Attend a Border War Game

Although the school spirit at all UW games can be infectious, no game can match that of a Border War, especially during football season. Even those who are not sports fans often find themselves on the edge of their seats to find out which team will take home the Golden Boot, and every UW student, current and past, loves to make a good joke about the CSU Rams.

    Visit Coe Library

Most students like to study (or at least pretend to) in their homes, but might overlook everything that Coe Library has to offer. Even if you don't feel the need to study, Coe also has an extensive DVD library and fiction collection that students can check items out from.

    Hike in Vedauwoo

Although the Laramie area is covered in snow for what seems to be a majority of the school year, there are a couple windows of time at the beginning of the semester and the end of semester that are perfect for outdoor activity. What better way to help relax before finals than to take in the view from the top?

Have a Drink at the Buck

No list about "Things to Do in Laramie" is ever complete without a trip to the Buckhorn. As one of Laramie's oldest bars, it's also earned a spot on the Dive Bar Hall of Fame. Although everyone should visit the Buck, never make a plan to do so. The best nights usually end with an unplanned stop at the legendary location.
