Ten people were arrested at a Cheyenne hotel late Friday night as part of Operation Cross Country X, an FBI-led initiative focused on recovering underage victims of prostitution.

Cheyenne Police Department spokesman Sergeant John Gay says a sting was set up at the Candlewood Suites on Tura Parkway.

"A location was selected and people were contacted and people contacted the police department through various websites and things like that and had agreed through those various methods to pay for certain sexual acts," said Gay.

Thirty-eight-year-old Leighanna Hensen, 38-year-old Jodi Nelson and 23-year-old Caitlin Shelby, all of Cheyenne, were arrested on one count each of prostitution.

Thirty-two-year-old Jonathan Archuleta, 30-year-old Kyler Macy, 23-year-old Juan Pucastro and 22-year-old Thomas Watkins, all of Cheyenne; 52-year-old Thomas Sauber of Sycamore, Illinois; and 35-year-old William Tilson of Chilhowie, Virginia, were arrested for one count each of soliciting and act of prostitution.

Thirty-five-year-old Bernadette Lopez, a transient from Loveland, Colorado, was arrested for one count of prostitution, the sale/delivery of methamphetamine and possession of marijuana.

Nationwide, 82 minors were rescued and 239 pimps were arrested as part of Operation Cross Country X.

"In the operations that our crew conducted, no one under 18 was recovered or anything of that nature," said Gay.
